Consuelo Kanaga (May 25, 1894 – February 28, 1978) was an American photographer and writer who became well known for her photographs of African Americans. Kanaga has been called "one of America's most transcendent yet, surprisingly, least-known photographers." She had a wide range of visual interests, from pictorialism to photojournalism to portraiture to cityscape to still lifes.
