Isabel Ferreira-De Puy was born in Lisbon, Portugal. She grew up just outside New York City and graduated from the New School/Parsons School of Design. Intending to move to Barcelona, she made a pit stop in New Mexico, met her husband, the late noted artist and legend John De Puy (a Taos Modernist) and never left.
